Shrimp:An incredibly lean protein source packed with essential vitamins and minerals, shrimp is low in calories but loaded with omega-3 fatty acids that help promote heart health.

Quinoa or brown rice: quinoa or brown rice gives you a gluten-free, fiber-rich grain that is filled with antioxidants, and has the potential to regulate your blood sugar results.

Mango Salsa: Want to add a sweet and tangy kick? Packed with vitamin C, vitamin A, and fiber to help you fight off any lingering common ailments going around, as well as support for digestive health, it can often need a detox after the holidays.

Avocado:You will have a creamy texture from avocados, heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, and potassium which can be important for controlling blood pressure.

Black Beans:Also instrumental, black beans are a protein-packed plant-based source and filler so you stay full longer.

Cilantro Lime Dressing — Add depth to my shrimp bowl with a drizzle of vibrant cilantro lime dressing. The dressing is light and is prepared using lime juice, olive oil along with some cilantro that brings in antioxidants & healthy fats.

Caribbean Shrimp Bowl Taste:Delicious Pile on the nutrients, while getting all kinds of health perks.

Packed with Protein-the shrimp and black beans in this bowl pack a ton of protein which helps build and repair tissues. Protein: This will also help keep you full and satisfies your muscles.

The quinoa or brown rice based bowl can be lightened up with a cauliflower rice substitute for even fewer carbs. Providing the body with ample dietary fiber from both the veggies and beans, this bowl is great for digestion and helps with weight management as well.

The avocado and olive oil in the dressing both supply heart-healthy fats, which help improve cholesterol levels. These fats are also important in helping our body to absorb fat-soluble vitamins like vitamins A and K.

Immunity and skin health:Packed in this bowl are mangoes and cilantro which are rich in vitamins A and C assisting the immune system, promoting healthy glowing skin.

Try at home this bowl. A basic recipe to bring the taste of the Caribbean into your kitchen.

Ingredients:

Shrimp (peeled and deveined) One lb.

1 Cup of uncooked quinoa or brown rice (or cauliflower rice for low carb)

1 cup black beans, cooked

1 ripe mango, diced

1 avocado, sliced

1 red bell pepper, diced

1/4 cup red onion, diced

1/2 cup halved cherry tomatoes

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp cumin

2.5 mL cayenne pepper (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh cilantro for garnish

Cilantro Lime Dressing:

Juice of 2 limes

1/4 cup olive oil

1/4 cup of fresh cilantro, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Prepare the Quinoa or Rice: Rinse and drain the quinoa brown rice and cook according to package instructions. In a large skillet, sauté cauliflower rice in olive oil until softened if you are using cauliflower rice.

Shrimp – in a mixing bowl, combine the raw shrimp with olive oil, paprika, cumin, cayenne pepper, and a pinch of salt + pepper. In a large pan over medium heat, grill shrimp for 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until pink and opaque. Set aside.

Mango Salsa: Mix diced mango, red bell pepper, red onion and cherry tomatoes in a bowl. Add a pinch of salt next and set aside.

For the Dressing:Whisk lime juice, olive oil, fresh cilantro leaves, salt, and pepper until you get a creamy consistency such as this amazing cilantro lime dressing.

Layer the Bowl:In a large bowl, add quinoa or rice to the bottom of the bowl. Shrimp, Black Beans, Avocado Slices, and Mango Salsa Pour the dressing on top, use generously.

Garnish: Top with some fresh cilantro and Enjoy!
